Thursday Crime Report
Vehicle burglary
A Turnpike Road resident reported the burglary of his unlocked vehicle overnight Monday. Two backpacks, one of which contained $100 worth of tools, along with college books, were stolen. Loss was approximately $600.
Stolen vehicle
On Tuesday deputies spoke with a Turnpike Road resident who reported that a relative had taken her 1989 GMC truck without her permission. She told deputies that he was not allowed to drive the truck due to the fact that his license was revoked. She said that he might have taken the truck to an address in Columbia. The truck has an estimated value of $900.
Vehicle burglary
On Tuesday a resident of Turnpike Road reported to deputies that someone had burglarized his 2009 Chevrolet Silverado truck. He noticed that the rear passenger window was broken. A Smith & Wesson 38 special revolver was stolen along with a holster and speed loaders. Total loss was said to be $770.
Theft
Residents reported Tuesday that some $1,175 worth of items had been stolen off of their Summertown property. Missing were a twelve-foot Jon Boat, truck camper top, two Ford truck transmissions and six buckets of plow points.
